The Ordway’s GreenRoom is a paid, intensive musical theater training fellowship created by and for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) artists.
Throughout the six-week program, 10 selected fellowship positions combine collaborative, experiential learning with 1-on-1 mentoring and coaching.
GreenRoom’s core faculty is a roster of accomplished artists from the Twin Cities and beyond. Their professionally curated curriculum looks to instill the skills, understanding, and confidence necessary to excel in musical theater. In partnership with guest speakers and teaching artists, content covers acting, vocal technique, movement, and auditioning, as well as special master classes on business development, public speaking, and wellness.

Tiffany is an arts educator AEA/SAG-AFTRA actress, singer, dancer, producer, public speaker coach and certified life coach with more than 30 years experience in the entertainment industry. Her credits include television, film, Broadway, regional theater, national and international Broadway tours, commercials, concerts and recordings. Her arts education experience is grounded in many years of production-based educational outreach and includes teaching artist certification from The Actors Fund of America.
As a teaching artist, she has presented master classes and workshops in Kentucky, Florida, New York, Alaska, Oregon, and Minnesota. She has provided arts education services for the City University of New York's Creative Arts Team, New York City School Districts, Broadway Brothers and Sisters, Florida State College, Mercy Academy in Louisville, and the Anchorage School District in Alaska, to name a few.
Tiffany’s greatest joy is teaching through the arts to help youth and adults succeed in all aspects of their lives. She offers customized workshops and master classes for professionals, amateurs and students. Each workshop and master class is uniquely created to encourage, inspire, and tap into one's full creative potential. Whether the goal is to pursue a Broadway career or exceed in local theater, her aim is to provide the training, experience, and tools to help students gain confidence and creative courage. Classes can be adapted for different populations of all ages.
This interactive workshop explores three poems by different poets, using exercises and music. Students will use improv dance movement to create a ‘moving poem’ employing storytelling techniques to find their unique voice. Students will work on vocal variation, rhythm and interpretation. This workshop prepares participants to find depth in public poetry readings, expand their thinking and increase their self-confidence. The workshop is 1 hour.
Lacking confidence in your musical theater auditions? Suffering from performance anxiety? Walk into your next audition prepared and confident!
This master class is suitable for the beginner or career veteran. It is designed to help participants learn professional audition protocol including how to select the best 16-bar musical cut and prepare for the audition process, in-person or via zoom. Students will learn how to connect to the story within the song and recite lyrics like poetry. This class includes mock audition exercises. 1.5 hrs.
This workshop explores self-care, personal growth, emotional resilience, connection and coping skills through expressive channels such as drama, visual art, music, movement and interactive exercises. Participants will be taught innovative techniques for self-guidance and learn how to create personal vision boards. The goal is for participants to walk away with a deeper personal awareness, new tools for creative living and an invigorated spirit. 1.5 hrs.

A long and successful career as a performing artist requires more than performing. You have to understand how the business works, create a personal marketing plan and convince casting directors you're the right choice for the job, and more. In this workshop, participants will learn about some of the latest marketing strategies related to headshots, resumes, bios, reels, social media, networking, and finding the right mentors. 1.5 hrs.
Do you struggle with how to communicate to your peers, teachers and parents? Do you have anxiety around school presentations and speaking in public?
This workshop focuses on speaking with confidence, overcoming public speaking anxiety and crafting effective messages through structure and timing with an emphasis on powerful storytelling. This work is exceptionally beneficial for youth. Learning to speak well and communicate with confidence at a young age provides strong grounding for a successful future. 1 hr.
This professional development and mentor program is designed for high school students and young professionals focused on crafting their “professional package” and getting a head-start in life. The classes cover personal goal setting, networking, dressing for success, resume writing, prepping for job interviews and public speaking. Each session is 1 hr.
